How We Review OGERY Outdoor Gear
Who writes these pages?
Every guide, review and comparison here is written by Laura Lancaster.
Where do the figures come from?
- OGERY's published specifications: pad thickness and R-value, battery capacity, runtimes, lumen output, dimensions and what's included.
- User manuals and instructions: how each pad inflates and deflates, how to charge a fan or lantern, which adapter fits which model, and the safety warnings.
- Points that recur in public buyer reviews. When many buyers raise the same question, such as how to inflate a particular pad, we cover it. We describe the pattern rather than quoting individuals.
Runtimes and brightness are OGERY's figures at the setting OGERY names, for example a fan runtime quoted at full speed.
Why is a figure missing?
OGERY publishes an R-value, a lumen count or a packed size for some products and not for others. A dash in a table means that figure isn't published, and it isn't estimated. Where a product comes in more than one version, the page names the version.
How are the pages put together?
- Product pages cover one item: what it does, its key numbers, and who it suits.
- Reviews go deeper on a single product, such as the 6" ultralight pad and the 20000mAh F11 camping fan.
- The comparison of the 6" pad and the R-Value 9.0 insulated pad lines both up on the same measures.
- Guides answer questions campers search for: what R-value means, how many lumens a lantern needs, how to stay cool in a tent.
- The OGERY review page brings the range together.
Which pad suits which trip?
The R-Value 9.0 insulated pad is the one for frozen ground. The 6" ultralight pad, R-4.5, is the thicker comfort pad for milder nights, and two of them snap together into a double. The 3.15" pump pad is the warmest of the foam pads, at R-6.0, with a built-in electric pump.
